How to Get Full-Body Clarity (Even If Your Brain Won’t Stop Overanalyzing Every Option)
The practice that helped me get out of my head and finally start working on an idea that was haunting me.
Writing to my intuition is what finally gave me the courage
to act on an idea that had been haunting me for years.
In medical school, I had a dirty little secret…
Since 4th year of med school, I had been immersing myself in a secret world.
Listening to podcasts about personal growth.
Meditating.
Learning about spirituality and manifestation.
Discovering concepts like “digital nomad” and “online businesses”.
It was my hidden obsession.
Something I indulged in behind closed doors.
Occasionally, I even let myself dream about what it would be like to live an entirely different life. Like the people I was listening to in my podcasts.
But I didn’t dare say that out loud.
The secret dream that haunted me
There was this quiet, persistent ache in me to leave the world of medicine entirely.
To start pursuing this “ridiculous dream” that was developing of…
Traveling the world.
Working from cafes.
Starting my own business.
Deepening my personal growth journey.
It made zero sense on paper.
But it wouldn’t leave me alone.
It mesmerized me.
It haunted me.
I hit a rock bottom and needed to find clarity
Eventually after hitting a low point of burnout, I took a leave of absence from residency. And even though, in many ways it felt like a rock bottom, it was also the first time I had real space to connect with myself.
I started writing to my intuition every single day. Looking for answers.
What should I do? Should I continue my residency? Keep powering through for 2.5 more years, like everyone says I should? Or is it time to do this crazy thing I can’t stop dreaming about?
Is this crazy dream what I really want? Or is it just an escape fantasy? A way to run away from my real life?
I didn’t know how to figure any of this out for myself. So I turned it all over to my intuition.
Every day I wrote in my journal.
Asking for answers.
For the first two weeks, I didn’t get much of anything.
Just some annoyingly unhelpful messages like:
Shhhh. Just be.
It was super frustrating.
I only had five weeks to figure out what I was doing with the rest of my life. To make this giant decision. I needed my intuition to cooperate and give me some answers.
The full body clarity from my intuition
I kept writing. Mostly from desperation more than anything else. I didn’t know how to figure this out on my own. Asking for divine guidance felt like my only hope, albeit a stretch.
Finally during the end of week 3, answers started flowing in.
I asked my intuition the same question:
What should I do? What is my next step?
And this time, it answered.
Love.
I asked: Love how?
And it said: Love on fire.
Which, might not seem like it means anything.
But receiving those words triggered an understanding in me. Like I knew exactly what it meant.
I asked my intuition, to be sure:
“Does that mean the things setting my heart on fire right now- personal growth, spirituality, travel- that’s what I’m meant to pursue?”
And instead of simply receiving the word “yes”, my whole body reacted.
I got tingles.
Chill bumps.
Lightness.
Warmth washing over me.
It was an undeniable nod from my intuition.
Yes, my love.
That is exactly what you should do.
Once you know, you can’t un-know.
And from that moment, it was clear. I couldn’t un-know my knowing.
Having that kind of full body clarity, made it feel obvious. Irrefutable.
This was my path.
And I had to begin.
So I did. I started taking action immediately.
I signed up for a travel blogging course.
Bought a domain name.
Started writing weekly blogs.
Enrolled in a life coaching certification.
Coached every single person I knew.
And oh yea, I did the practical stuff too like:
Resigned from residency.
Sold all my stuff.
And bought a one-way ticket to South Korea.
What happens when you say YES to your right path
The entire life I live now, was set in motion in just a few weeks. Because I finally listened to the ideas that had been nudging me.
The moment I started taking action, everything felt right.
The day I turned in my resignation. The day I bought my domain name. It lit something up in side of me.
What “should have” been terrifying, chaotic time full of doubt, was actually the most calm and clear I had ever felt.
It didn’t feel like my world was falling apart (although it technically was….).
It felt like my life was falling into place.
I felt like myself again. A playful, creative, excited version of me that I hadn’t been in touch with since before medical school.
I wasn’t at war with myself anymore. Fighting between what my heart knew and my brain couldn’t rationalize.
Intuition is the most powerful tool we have
That’s the power of intuition.
It makes the truth undeniable.
It gives you clarity so deep it settles in your bones.
It’s not loud. It won’t rush you.
But when you’re ready, it will guide you.
And when you follow it?
Everything begins to click into place.
Because intuition doesn’t just whisper the truth.
It anchors you into it.
It holds your hand while everything changes.
And if you let it, it will carry you exactly where you’re meant to be.
If this stirred something in you.
If you have an idea that’s tugging at you that you’ve been too afraid to say out loud. If you want to learn how to connect to your intuition to have clarity and guidance on your path.
